About Us

Jerry and Amanda Myers have lived in the greater Brazos Valley areas for over 8 years. Jerry is a Texas native, born and raised. He grew up in Katy, TX and during his high school years spent his free time riding and showing horses. Jerry graduated from Sam Houston State University and soon after started JM Buildings in 2006. Amanda was born and raised in North Carolina. She rode and showed horses all through her Jr High and High School years. After moving to Texas to attend Baylor University she met Jerry at a horse show. They welcomed their daughter Millie into the world in September of 2023, and she’s already attended several planning and design meetings!

Jerry & Amanda started JM Buildings because of their passion for building and creating things. They quickly expanded from simple metal shops to projects much bigger such as boat and RV storage facilities and large commercial warehouses. After building their own barndominium in 2012, they realized there was a need for this type of home builder and expanded JM Buildings into the custom barndominium market. Jerry & Amanda enjoy working with customers to come up with the perfect home to meet their customers' needs. Jerry works with customers on the metal building and erection portion of the build while Amanda works with customers on the interior build-out and design. They have since expanded their services and offer traditional custom homes, and they have already built several in the area.
